Jack is mostly known for his work with Lady Gaga who has worn many of his pieces, the most famous of these is the Sea Urchin Showgirl inflatable dress that was worn on the final night of her artRAVE:The Artpop Ball World Tour in Paris. This dress generated a huge amount of press and memes of this dress have been shared online over 3 million times. Three of Jack’s pieces were also featured in Lady Gaga’s acclaimed Netflix Documentary Film “Gaga: Five Foot Two”. The outfit was even made into a character on the popular computer game ‘The Sims’. In October 2018 Jack Irving showcased a live installation at the Victoria and Albert museum London. The installation featured one of Jack’s Sea Urchin sculptures and a show reel of his work in the sculpture gallery. Jack also created an an immersive installation performance of his work in the main courtyard at the V&A, where models wore his inflatable pieces of art.Jack’s most recent music projects were to create costumes for the Dojo Cat VMA performance September 2020, and the Viva Forever section of the Spice World Spice Girls, Stadium Tour.
Jack has most recently worked on his very first interior design brand collaboration with the W Hotel Leicester Square London where he designed an exclusive interactive spikey pillow for all 300 rooms made from an innovative rainbow light reflective fabric. He also designed an iridescent Christmas tree for the hotel in December 2019, and this tree was featured in Elle Decor’s top ten Christmas trees in London.Jack creates collections of wearable art, creating cosmic worlds for alien showgirls to parade through. Jack Irving’s mission is to engulf the world in a fantastical spectacle, incorporating all elements of theatricality with a love for colliding technology with live performance.
